Your Psychic Inner Child

Psychics provide a medium to explore the magical childhood world we often lose as adults. As we grow into adulthood our innocence, naiveté, and imagination become rigid and stodgy. Our perceptions of reality shift towards the norm, which is an acceptable way of thinking approved by society. Imprisoned by societal constructs our ability to form new novel thoughts and ideas becomes stifled and often we lose touch with who we really are.

Many people develop defense mechanisms and coping skills to deal with this loss while others long to embrace their childhood fantasies once again. Do you remember as a child asking the magic 8 balls if Johnny or Sarah was your true love? Do you remember consulting the origami fortuneteller to find out your future during recess?

Many of us do and why have we lost this innocent ability to imagine, dream, and believe. Because society says we have too?

Enjoying a psychic reading is in reality not a scam or hoax or fraud but a way for people to realize their dreams again. The dreams we had as a child our hopes for the future our imaginative side than we toss aside to be normal productive members of society. Is losing our ability to be subjective and live in a world full of colors instead of a world full of greedy black and white such a bad thing. Surely having an opportunity to get in touch with a magical world outside our own stodgy lives must be worth something.

So, before you go off and bad mouth the next TV psychic or online psychic service remember the fairy tales your mother told you at bed time and how much fun it was to escape into that magical world of fantasy and dream. Is believing in magical mystical places so wrong. How about believing in you? You may be amazed at exactly how strong a negative influence your externally imposed stodgy unauthentic belief systems, thoughts, and ideas have in your life. Having an open mind can really help you to keep your potential in life limitless. In addition, by having a narrow or negative viewpoint we not only alienate our creative talents but also stifle our ability to transcend the worldly limitations placed on us by these societal belief systems.

Why not try to be open to new thoughts ideas and experience? Embrace the childhood dreams and aspirations that you have been told are foolish and frivolous. These dreams form the foundation of who we are and ultimately lead to true happiness. Embrace your inner child and reopen the imaginative and creative aspects of your personality which are being held back by what you are forced to believe to be acceptable thought processes. Imagination and creativity are an integral part of the human psyche why not embrace them and get in touch with the inner child inside yourself today? Try talking with a psychic and suspend your disbelief. Who knows you may just open the doors to creative talents and ideas that you have locked away along with your imagination.

The Power of Perception and the Benefit of Wearing Rose-Tinted Glasses

The search for fulfillment and happiness is the personal journey of every Human being.   Feeling loved, appreciated and accepted are vital ingredients for living a fill and abundant life. It is important that you value your time on Earth and that you come to realize that the perspective you have makes your life unique. I believe that perception is so powerful and if you look beyond the surface, it will reveal your life purpose and your path to fulfillment, inner- peace and joy. How you perceive life can lead to the creation of a wonderful life or a life that is filled with struggle and discomfort. The old saying of seeing the glass either ½ full or ½ empty is true when we study the lives of people and their attitudes. Most successful people have cultivated an attitude of victory and triumph. Everyone makes mistakes but what is important is how you react to your failures and disappointments. This ultimately will either help you see the best that life offers or the very worst.

The choice is up to you. Taking 100% responsibility for the life you create and understanding how important your individual thoughts, beliefs and desires are, will take you a long way on your path to happiness. You need to be in alignment with your passion and your desires. This positive energy will invigorate you and pull you towards your goal. Every heart-felt desire is a whisper from the Universe revealing the easiest path for you to follow so that you can live fully and enjoy success, happiness and prosperity. Know that what you desire, you deserve! You are as unique as the food you choose to eat or the clothes you prefer to wear. There is nobody quiet like you and this makes you an exceptional person with a special gift and talent to share with the world, this is your unique life purpose.

You Don’t Want Someone Else’s Perspective

You have the power to choose your thoughts. You can put on the rose-tinted glasses or the grey-tinted glasses. You can do it someone else’s way or you can follow your own path and dance to the beat of your own drum. When you try and please others by living life according to their beliefs, you will ultimately fall short as you may not be in alignment with how they perceive the world. Therefore, life will not work for you and it will be an uphill climb.

Love will support you in following your bliss. Listen to the stirrings in your heart and respect yourself enough to follow them through. Know that beliefs change from one generation to another. The new generation will perceive things in a different way and at times advice from the older generation can be a bit outdated. It is important to honor and respect each person’s unique perspective as this can be the key to unlocking their full potential.

You Have to Believe in Something Different to get Different Results

You have to change your beliefs if you want to change your life!  Otherwise you’ll remain stuck and never earn more money, or achieve lasting love or improve your health. It takes honesty and courage to change your beliefs but it really is worth it because if you don’t take the first step now, time will pass and you will still be in the same place 3 years from now. Use your time wisely and make your spiritual journey a priority in your life. Making this shift can be the most powerful thing you can do!

When your beliefs aren’t in tune with who you are, you will lead a less than satisfactory life and challenging events may come up so that you can question your way of thinking. If you continually ignore the nudges from the Universe a crises will arise, don’t hit rock bottom! Listen to the whispers, embrace them and follow your intuition.

How to Change your Beliefs and Choose Rose-Tinted Glasses

You know the answers to all your questions, now start questioning your thinking. Are you addicted to thoughts of struggle? Know that your mind will search for ways to support this and these beliefs will become your reality. When you stop and question what you do and how you react to life, you will notice that the restricting beliefs fall away. Take time to question your beliefs and become aware of how you may be limiting yourself. Once you bring it into conscious awareness healing can take place, as the mind cannot do things to hurt itself consciously.

Decide to do things in a different way. Break the thoughts that you think unconsciously and repetitively everyday. Get up 10 minutes earlier, go for a jog instead of going to the gym, take a different route to work, eat lunch at a different time, change your schedule around or do whatever you can to take yourself out of your habitual daily routine. As you go about your day differently, you will have different thoughts.  These small daily changes will help you to cultivate mental flexibility Write it down! Ask yourself if it’s true. If it’s not true 100% of the time you can choose to make it something else! It is optional how you perceive it! If you have a thought pattern that tells you that you will loose your friends if you become a success, then question if this belief is absolutely 100% true.

Know that you can change a negative thought to one that will empower you. Maybe you can inspire your friends with your success and you can encourage them to follow their unique dream. Think good thoughts and these will manifest in your life. Choose your thoughts and beliefs wisely. Constantly ask yourself if it’s working for you. If not you can update your perspective! Know that you have the right to change your mind. What you wanted at 15 will be different from what you want at 45. Today you can put on the rose-tinted glasses and choose to see the glass as ½ full or even overflowing! Your perception will color your life.

My wish for you is that you will open up to a rainbow of possibilities and wonder. You are more powerful than you know. Live creatively, life is not as complicated as you may believe.

Book Review: Personal Development for Smart People

I first became aware of Steve Pavlina a few years ago when I came across his personal development site www.StevePavlina.com. Since then I have enjoyed and greatly benefited from his abundant supply of free articles and resources.

The reason why I am a frequent visitor to his site and highly recommend his new book “Personal Development for Smart People,” is that I truly respect him for his ability to think outside-the-box, to offer a new perspective, and to challenge others to embrace the truth of who they are as powerful and self-directed individuals. If you are ready to take full responsibility for your life Pavlina’s message can be a powerful foundation and starting point. If you desire more financial abundance, a  more intimate relationship, a fulfilling career, or better health then it is up to you to do what is necessary in order to create a life that works for you.

Steve provides a number of ways to help you get clear on what you want and then provides practical ways to help you achieve your goals.  In his words Life is constantly asking: What do you want? You have the freedom to answer that question however you wish. Aligning yourself with truth and love will help you evaluate the possibilities, but there are no compulsory right or wrong answers. There’s only your freedom to choose. Will you answer with silence, or will you exercise your power of conscious choice?

The book is divided into two parts, part one explores the seven fundamental principles of personal development, beginning with three primary principles of Truth, Love and Power. Part two emphasizes the importance of applying the seven principles to your life and offers practical suggestions. He makes it simple to incorporate the principles into your lifestyle without searching for answers in an array of different books. Steve states “I wanted to answer a really tough question: what does it mean for us to grow as conscious human beings, and how do we intelligently guide that process?” He teaches that when you align with Truth, Love and Power the long term results bring about a sense of peace and spiritual wisdom. Truth, Love and Power are universal principles and resonate with each and every living thing.

These 3 principles reach the heart of humanity and they are not limited by space and time. These are the threads of humanity where we can connect with the Oneness of life. If each one of us can implement these principles into our daily lives, we can help shift the world’s consciousness, one person at a time. Again it is our responsibility as individuals to take action. The three key principles in the book, Truth, Love and Power, can then be used to derive the four secondary principles which are Oneness, Authority, Courage and Intelligence.

Pavlina descibes the secondary principles as such: Oneness: which is Truth plus Love Authority: is Truth plus Power Courage: is Love plus Power Intelligence: comes about when Truth, Love and Power are harmoniously alighned. Steve Pavlina writes “If you forget everything else from this book and rememeber only one piece of advice, it is simply this: The most intelligent thing you can possibly do with your life is to grow.” There is tons of advice offered here on how to use the principles in your life. Pavlina stresses the importance of creating new positive habits and one suggestion is that you commit to a 30 day trial period.   The book states that it’s important to find out what works best for you and a trial period is an excellent way to find out what changes you need to make in order to start living your dream.

As a Reiki Master and Intuitive I found this book valuable in that it reinforces the importance of taking responsibility for the life each person creates. I believe that true healing can only come about once you are ready to look at your life honestly and own your shadow side and this requires a truthful look at your thoughts and actions. These need to be aligned with love for a positive shift to happen, as no one can thrive and grow without love. Power helps you to be the creator of your life as opposed to being at the effect of your environment. I have noticed that when my clients use principles such as truth, love and power in their lives they can effect more positive change.  I like to remind my clients to take a good and honest look at their lives and then take action knowing that they have the power within them to turn their life into a masterpiece!

One last piece of wise advice offered by Pavlina is to always follow a path with a heart. He suggests that following a path with a heart will lead you in the right direction and will help you to stay aligned with Truth, Love and Power. Although I give this book five stars, I offer one word of warning to those of you who are right brain oriented. The book is very logical and structured. It’s packed with useful content but at times can feel a bit mechanical.

Going with the Flow: Learning the Art of Acceptance

Going with the flow of life will bring serenity, peace and tranquility; this is the art of acceptance. Learning the art of acceptance is an important lesson in living a full and conscious life. Many wise men and woman through the ages have emphasized that acceptance is a necessary and extremely powerful state of being. Wayne Dyer has been quoted saying “If I could define enlightenment briefly I would say it is the quiet acceptance of what is.” Carl Jung taught “We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.” And Eleanor Roosevelt said “You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with the best you have to give.”

 When you can accept life the way it is then everything undergoes a change. The greatest gift that you can give to the world is the gift of acceptance and love. Allow your heart to open and live daily from a place of unconditional love, appreciation and acceptance. One of life’s greatest lessons is learning to surrender and go with the flow.  Life happens and it is your reaction and interpretation of the circumstances that will either free you or limit you.

Developing a curiosity about how you react to the situations and people in your life can ultimately release you from the restrictions and controlling inclinations of the past. ~Serenity comes when you trade expectations for acceptance~ Trust that your life is unfolding perfectly in each and every moment. When you try and force things to happen you will create more suffering, resistance and struggle. Learning to trust in a Higher power and letting go of the need for circumstances to be a certain way will liberate you and put you on the path towards self-mastery. Expand your level of curiosity and continually practice self-inquiry, when you become aware of your limited beliefs and judgments you then have the power to change them!

It is only with awareness that you can make the commitment and necessary changes to live each moment with an open and accepting heart. Learning to love what is present in your life without the need to change or transform it in anyway is true acceptance and appreciation for the bountiful experiences life offers. A deep sense of serenity and tranquility will permeate your life when accept what is, IS! When you feel at peace with yourself and your actions, you can extend this wondrous feeling to others. Self-acceptance is important for your spiritual growth and well-being. When you love and accept yourself your life will flow and miracles will happen. Learn to live wholly from the place of total acceptance and be willing to recognize challenges as lessons for self-growth and inquiry into the way you respond to the world, this is a concrete step on your sacred journey towards the light of wisdom and consciousness.

Practice mindfulness and observe life without getting caught up in reacting to it, this will empower you and free up your energy so that you can create a beautiful life. ~Happiness can exist only in acceptance~ Happiness is not dependent on your outer circumstances but instead achieving happiness is often brought about through letting go and releasing your attachment to people and situations being a particular way. Developing an attitude of acceptance will help you to loosen your tight grip on reality not being exactly the way you would like it to be. You can then stop pushing certain things away and trying so hard to pull other things towards you. With acceptance you can reach a point of allowing things to be as they are at this time. Maybe in the next moment they will change, but right now you can totally accept the way things are. This does not mean that you want your situation to stay this way but you can allow your life to be as it is. When you surrender completely and accept it, you can then move onto creating a life that works for you. Acceptance brings peace, happiness and serenity!

The Tarot can teach you how to live an aware and empowered life. Using the wisdom of the Tarot you can lower your resistance and dissolve any blockages in your subconscious mind that may be hindering you in achieving a rewarding career and financial freedom and success. It is vital to understand the importance of letting go of past conditioning, living in the now and living in the true flow. What follows is an easy method to weave a flow of money into your life without struggle, fear or worry.

Firstly, it is essential that you observe and become aware of the wealth that is already present in your life. Even if you are experiencing a lack of money at the moment, you can look for the areas in your life where you do have abundance.

It can be as simple as appreciating the fact that you were able to pay the bills or buy the jar of imported olives you enjoy so much. You can also appreciate the abundance in nature, for example, the profusion of flowers in your garden or the grandeur of the stars in the night sky. When you align yourself with the abundance that is already present in your life and in the universe, you will open yourself up to receive the prosperity you desire.

MONEY-FLOW MEDITATION:
Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for at least 15 minutes. Sit comfortably in a chair or on the floor with your back straight and your feet firmly on the ground. Take a few deep breaths and relax.
Imagine yourself giving money away. Who ever comes into your mediation, picture yourself giving them money. The amount does not matter, just focus on the feeling of giving to others. See them receiving the money with joy.

Notice how your giving spreads happiness to other people. Stay with this feeling for a few moments. Notice that giving money away is actually a way of spreading joy and love to others.
For a few moments meditate on the phrase “Money is  Love”

After you have done this, allow yourself to receive. Let the cycle of money flow as you embrace and enjoy the money coming to you. Visualize yourself happily receiving from others and the things you desire flowing into your life easily and effortlessly!

Let yourself indulge in the wonderful feelings of joy that come about when you let go and allow yourself to give and receive. Allow yourself to experience the magnificent feeling of abundance and wealth.

Once you feel comfortable, joyous and at ease with the first part of the money flow meditation then you can begin the second part. The second part is quite exciting. It is interesting to notice what feelings come up for you. If you are getting clear and have already released a lot of blockages or conditioning regarding the flow of money in your life, then you will be ready and eager to start practicing part two. If you still feel resistance in doing the exercise, then it’s quite possible that you still have inner conflict towards money and allowing yourself to be part of the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

Be aware of the feelings that come up for you as you practice part two.

Spend some time, maybe put an afternoon aside, and go out and give money away. Look for the people or organizations that you feel need money or a specific cause that speaks to your heart. It could be someone living on the streets, a charity or even someone who is struggling to pay their rent. It does not have to be a large amount; you can even start with a dollar at first. The important part here is that you give and as you give to imagine that you are giving money as well as love to the person.

Commit to practicing this giving-meditation for a few days. You will really reap the full benefit of realizing true money flow if you commit to doing both the visualization of giving money away as well as actually taking action and doing it!

Remember to write in your journal and notice any feelings that come up for you. Both positive and negative feelings are indicators of where you are on your path to prosperity, success and true abundance.
Keep in mind that the Universe is an abundant place. There is plenty for everyone to enjoy. The key here is to keep money flowing. Knowing that as you give, you receive!

It is necessary and liberating to get in touch with your deepest heartfelt desires as these desires will pull you towards your true purpose on earth. The stirrings in your heart are so often ignored and pushed away. You truly deserve to live the life you were born to live; you really deserve to create a beautiful life for yourself and for others on the planet.

It is time now to let go of illusive hopes and wishful thinking and get in touch with what brings about a truly passionate response deep inside your being. What inspires you at a heartfelt level? What is it that you really want to accomplish in your life? What makes your heart sing?

There is no more time to waste; your time here is precious! Use it wisely and in service to others. Do not live with the hope of a better future, this point of power is in the now. In this very moment commit to your heart’s desire. Make a commitment and put your energy into following your bliss. Know that you can live fully in the moment experiencing joy and abundance. The future will take care of itself as you learn to trust and follow your heart.
